Our story

West Texas roots. A lifetime of entertainment.

Born under the wide-open skies of West Texas and raised on a farm near Bovina, brothers Ben and Butch McCain have spent decades sharing songs, stories and laughter. As singer-songwriters, actors, writers, producers and television hosts, the McCain Brothers bring the warmth, humor and spirit of Americana to everything they do.

Our roots run deep in the storytelling traditions of country music. Dusty roads, family ties and hard-earned wisdom have shaped our sound and the songs we write. We’ve released multiple albums, including recordings on Rise and Shine Records, and earned chart success with “If Love Was a Crime.” Along the way, we’ve shared stages with Merle Haggard, Toby Keith, Glen Campbell, George Jones and many other remarkable artists.

Television has been another home for us. From 1981 to 1994, we hosted a morning television show in Oklahoma City, bringing music, conversation and a little McCain Brothers humor to viewers each day. Our television work also includes Hee Haw, Good Morning America, General Hospital, All My Children and Loving, along with national commercials and skits on The Tonight Show.

Our adventures have taken us into film, too, with credits including My Name Is Bruce, starring Bruce Campbell, Bio-Dome, Humanoids from the Deep and Killer Tumbleweeds. We’ve worked on both sides of the camera, acting, writing and producing, and brought our music to Hollywood by writing and recording “Guan Di Is His Name,” the theme song for My Name Is Bruce, starring Bruce Campbell.

Often described as “multi-hyphenated” talents, we’ve always followed the same calling: entertain people with heart, humor and a good story. Whether we’re making music, appearing on screen or creating something new together, that bond between two brothers remains at the center of it all.

Let’s keep in touch.
